It's at times like this, I feel sad. I feel sad that there are still people who believe this guy actually converses with god.

Now I'm not gonna lump all you Christians in the same bin. If tensions in Ireland prove anything, it's that Christians can disagree.

However, it is now 2008, and there has been no tragedy costing millions of lives in the states. No bombings, no nuclear disasters, and abortion rates have been going down since 1990^[link], so that can't be it. The only thing special to occur in late 2007 was the Youtube debates, and few people going cold-turkey for XBox Live.

The fact is that this guy year after year make more outrageous predictions proves one thing: Pat Robertson has yet to realize that those voices in his head are coming from inside his head.

Of course, the problem here isn't that he is insane, it's that people still believe in this guy. Even after all his failures to predict anything, and the number of times he has been wrong, people still believe in him. I don't know about you, but if we can learn one thing from this, it's that piety can make you look like an idiot. That as long as you ignore the possibility that you are wrong you are capable of believing in some crazy stuff, and might as well be batshit insane.
